DESCRIPTION
A two day workshop to travel through the world of colour.
Colour is all around us, the way we decorate our homes, our clothes and in particular nature.
For the most part we take it for granted.
By understanding colour theory, value, intensity, relativity, depth, temperature and colour schemes provides the starting point for students to explore many creative possibilities within our medium.
Simultaneous contrast, transparency, luminosity, lustre and shadows are
analyzed to create different illusions.
A folder of 44 pages of notes and samples will be produced in this class for use as a reference tool in later quilting projects, while examining many sample blocks and quilts that relate to various aspects of colour theory.
All fabric samples and notes are provided.
REQUIREMENT LIST
A folder with at least 25 plastic sleeves
Glue stick (large)
Pen
Ruler
Scrap paper to use as a gluing pad
Note pad
Scissors for paper and fabric
1 A4 sheet of black card
2 A4 sheets of white card
A kit fee of $25 to cover 44 pages of notes and all fabric samples for each page.
All of the fabric samples for this workshop are glued into the folder, not sewn.
